Latex clothing is generally designed to fit snugly. Therefore, it can be difficult to put on without the aid of a lubricant. There are three main methods for preparing latex catsuit hoods for wearing. (1) Lightly dust the inside of the garment with talcum powder before putting on the latex hoods, as scattered talcum powder and dust on the rubber are very visible. (2) Use a silicone-based lubricant such as Eros Bodyglide or Eros Cult Dressing Aid. Apply a thin layer to the inside of the garment and your skin as needed. (3) A third method for reducing or eliminating the high friction of latex when putting it on is to chlorinate the rubber. Rubber can be easily damaged or torn with fingernails if excessive force is applied when pulling on your garment. Ensure your garment is well lubricated or treated with talcum powder. You can also wear a pair of light cotton gloves to prevent damage. When handling latex with bare hands, ensure they are clean before contact with your garment. Note that rubber can permanently brown upon contact with copper, brass, or bronze—be careful with copper coins. Never expose latex to essential oils. Never expose your garment to open flames or fire, as rubber is flammable. Polishing: Your latex hood mask will arrive shiny. To achieve a shine, we recommend using a silicone-based polish, such as Eros Body Glide or Eros Cult Dressing Aid. Never polish with furniture polish and avoid oil-based lubricants and creams, as these will damage the rubber. Do not rub the outside of your garment too vigorously or with a rough cloth, as this can permanently scratch the shiny surface. Cleaning: You can wash the rubber hoods in clean or damp cloths.
